The Tuxedo Cats. We don’t wear tuxedos. Neither are we cats. I don’t see how we get away with it.
Yet, since 2011, we jam. Through changes in personnel, families, and Steve’s hair, we continue to rock the Beatles, Eagles and Stones, oh my! Not to mention ZZ Top and Stevie Ray Todd.
With a rare weekend off, I reflect on what a special group of grown boys this is.
Seldom have I seen a band stay together this long. Outside the Rolling Stones, (pronounced ROW-ling Stones) groups just break up. Eventually money, families, or egos put a monkey in the wrench.
Not this band. We do East Texas almost every weekend, over 100 gigs a year. Always professional. Always family friendly, always rockin’. We occasionally include some classic country.
It’s Texas state law.
So if you’re out any weekend in August, check TheTuxedoCats.com or Facebook and catch the myth. Catch the mystery. Catch the drift.
These… are GOOD songs! Played with excessive gusto!
Tuxedos? Optional. Cats? Not even.
The Tuxedo Cats. Keepin’ it cool this summer!
