Seeking God: Not Microwavable

In scripture we’re told multiple times if we seek Him, we’ll find Him. Initially, the concept and the action is pretty easy.

The hard part is the long game. Most of the time real results come from a daily, disciplined, intentional process that takes patience, perseverance, and prayer. It’s not a quick fix. It’s more like a slow cooker!

To grow in our knowledge of God in a personal way, regular Bible study and one on one time with Him every day is essential. It’s what relationship with God is all about! And it’s what He wants!

If you’re frustrated about repeated prayers seemingly going unheeded, don’t quit! And consider this blessing. Instead of instant gratification, slow and steady wins the race! We’re gifted with a deep and meaningful relationship with the creator of the universe and the savior of our souls! As we press in to God day after day, we’ll gradually see subtle change. Eventually we’ll look back knowing He’s given us wisdom and protection. He carried us through our storms. And we get to know Him!

Consistently digging into God’s word and His character will change your life! It’s not always easy, but it’s well worth the effort!

If it was easy, everyone would do it!

  1. “If you’re frustrated about repeated prayers seemingly going unheeded, don’t quit!” Hey Mike, thanks for this encouragement and reminder that it’s OK to keep praying. It’s funny how I know this, yet I also need these ongoing reminders to keep going, keep praying, and keep trusting Him.

    Very well said!
