We hear a lot about “abiding,” to remain, to dwell. One definition even references a “temporary” dwelling, while “residing” implies a more “permanent” placement.
However, I “reside” in Forney, but I work in Tyler 6 days a week. So even though my “residence” is officially Forney, I’m way more connected in Tyler.
When it comes to our faith, I get the distinct impression that where we “reside” is perhaps not as important as where we “abide.”
You may “reside” as a Christian. Your name is on the church membership roll. When filling out a form, it’s the box you check under “religion.”
But where do you spend the most time?
Where are you most connected?
