My life is out of control.

Maybe you’ve said it or thought it. If not, you should have. Your life is not under your control.
Of course, there are safeguards we can implement to help keep us healthy and safe, but ultimately, we have no control. We are completely reliant upon the sovereignty and grace of God for everything.
Everything.
Good to remember that when we’re planning our 401K. When we’re considering a move to another city, a job change, or just thinking about dinner.
I have no control! My life is in God’s hands. It doesn’t mean I just let go of the handlebars on the bike ride of life and hope I don’t crash into a tree!
But some of us proceed through our days like God isn’t even around. We say, “This is what I’ll do. I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. And there I’ll store my surplus grain.”
Hey. Aren’t you the “eat drink and be merry” guy from Luke 12? I remember what God said to you. “You fool! Tonight, your life will be demanded of you.” (Hate to be that guy.)
Whatever you do. God’s got you. Whatever go through, good and bad. God’s got you. So might as well surrender to him, so you can rest in the fact…
… that God’s got you.
