Everybody loves somebody, but mostly we love us some us!
Our viewpoint is limited. We can’t fully know others, yet we’re quick to judge.
We have strong convictions, but under pressure, we cave.
We cling to opinions even in the face of overwhelmingly contrary evidence.
We talk a lot about ourselves. Less often do we put others first or seek to learn from them.
We rarely admit to being wrong, mad, anxious, or embarrassed. We don’t want to look bad.
Think of all the conflicts you’ve witnessed. How often is there gentleness, grace, or humility?
Only when Jesus is part of the equation. He changes everything. He changes us.
Without Him we’re no better than those we criticize. With Him we reflect all things good and right.
So who do you love? The answer says who you’ll emulate.
Why the heck wouldn’t we emulate Him?
