Resolution or Replacement?

Something about a new year causes us to reassess. We want to be better, so we make resolutions.

We DO something different. Exercise more. Pray more.

Sometimes we UNDO something. Fewer sweets. Less screen.

Think replacement. Whatever we do means something else has to go. Replace one habit with another. From cake to a salad. Amazon to a walk.

Pray first. Ask God to help you. One day at a time. Try again tomorrow. Repeat.

And by this time next year your resolutions will be replaced by praise reports!
