Many people relate to Peter. Peter was quick to speak. Quick to react. When trouble came, he took matters into his own hands. He cut off a soldier’s ear! Jesus rebuked him to let God’s plan unfold.
Peter was hasty. Short fuse. In the above example, if he had his way, Jesus wouldn’t have gone to the cross, and our way of salvation would have been thwarted.
So, has trouble come to you? Wait. Trust God to work out His plan. He has a good track record! He’s faithful. Don’t be like Peter. Don’t jump the gun.
And don’t cut off anybody’s ear.
