Ringo Quit the Beatles

They were recording the White Album in August of 1968. Ringo had been growing more frustrated in the band, finally snapped, and walked out.

Even so, John, Paul, and George continued working on the song, “Back in the USSR” with Paul filling in on drums. Some friends, huh?

Within a few days, all was forgiven, and Ringo returned. But not before the song was completed. Hence, “Back in the USSR” will forever be known as a song by the “Threetles.”

The lesson?

Don’t quit the band.
