In the grand scheme, our days are few. We don’t know how many.
If you look at average life spans and do the math, (don’t), it’s a reality slap in the face. I don’t recommend it. What I do endorse is remembering the big picture.
When I think of how much time I spent getting high, watching TV, scrolling Facebook, or any of thousands of pointless activities, my mind reels at the excessive vanity.
So I won’t think about it.
Instead, in our limited remaining waking hours, let’s lean into what matters long term. This doesn’t mean we never take a break, (Sabbath, anyone?) but we keep our minds on things above.
