The latest offering from Angel Studios features actors from The Chosen, and is an action/drama/love story/fantasy, a classic tale of the battle of good versus evil with strong parallels to the book of Job.
It’s clean, but some scenes are too intense for kids. It’s a deep and powerful message that will cause you to take a hard look at your faith and challenge you to re-commit your devotion to Christ.
As a fictitious story with a dystopian setting, and just enough time travel make you pay attention, the plot runs deep and caused me to ask Lois a lot of questions afterwards in the parking lot. “Who was that guy?” “I thought he was with them?” “What other movie was she in?”
Lois: “Were you even watching this movie?”
I may have to watch again.
But the overriding message is clear. No matter what you’ve done or how bad it gets, God will never leave you!
Good news!
