Christmas is almost over. Don’t blink. You’ll miss it. Remember last year? Seems like yesterday. That makes yesterday seem like 5 minutes ago.
You see where I’m going. Time is relentless. It just keeps flying by. And the older we get, the faster it flies. Try sixty Christmases. My holidays are breaking the speed of light.
The 30 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas encompass 720 hours. Conservatively, if you sleep six hours a night, that leaves 540 hours. With at least three full work weeks at eight hours a day, we’re now down to 420 hours to enjoy Christmas.
Sound like a lot? Maybe not when you consider that equates to about 17 days. It’s well after Thanksgiving, so we have even fewer now. And we haven’t even talked about travel time, eating time, going to the bathroom…
You get my drift.
The hours are ticking away. Even as you read this, Christmas rapidly approaches. Redeem the time. Be intentional. Make it memorable. TobyMac said it well. “Reach out and LOVE somebody, y’all!”
Christmas is coming!
Listen! I think I hear reindeer!
