I Fights to the Finish

“Cuz I eats me spinach. I’m Popeye the Sailor Man.”

My favorite preschool cartoon character was wiser than I knew. As the finish gets closer for all of us, let’s not forget to fight to the finish, to finish strong.

The days are long. But the years are short. These few years with your kids at home will go by quickly enough, but especially if we’re not proactive in our day to day attention. Don’t leave any room for regret.

We work most of our lives, but even those days will eventually wane should the Lord allows us enough years. Make the most of your daily work by working as unto Him. It will be an encouragement to others and give Him glory!

If you’re in the autumn of the years, don’t let down your guard too soon. Too many of us sit down before it’s time. There’s still work to be done, people to be helped, and gifts you can use. We need what God has given you!

Let time in the Word be your spinach, and fight to the finish!

Don’t become weary in doing good, for we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Gal 6:9
