What was your favorite Summer? It’s likely at least one pops into your mind as memorable. The Summer of ‘21 will be one I remember for many reasons. Drums, vacations, new adventures.
This week particularly holds a special place, as it marks several anniversaries. This second week in July contains some unforgettable dates in my life.
It’s the week I became a Christian, July 8th, 1986. The same date in 1989 I started at the radio station. This is the week I moved away from my hometown Cincinnati to start a new life in Texas, July 11th, 1981. My beloved Grandmother passed away July 8th, 1984. On July 11th, 1970 I broke my collarbone playing baseball.
And on July 11th of this year I turned 63 and a half!
I know. I’m a date nerd. But all these moments I’ll hold in my heart forever, as all were defining, and important in their own unique way.
So how’s this summer going for you? We only get a finite number of them, so make them count! We’re just half way through this one and there’s still time to make it awesome!
“Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
