I Can’t Get Enough of His Love

The longer you live the more you need Jesus. It may seem counter-intuitive. Maybe the older you get, the more you can “manage” your relationship? “As long as I do my morning devotions, and go to church on Sunday, I’m good.” Or, “I do daily Bible study and I’m growing closer to God every day. I’m at peace.”

Nope. You still need more.

You can’t plateau. Your faith grows or shrinks. Can time with God be overdone? No, and it doesn’t mean we stop talking to our spouse or stop going to work. It means staying with Him in spirit. It means He’s a priority and we frequent that well so often we’re always fresh off a blessing.

He beckons. He calls. He says “Come to me.” There’s never a bad time to set your mind on Him. If it seems overwhelming or exhausting, please know He won’t do that to you. He says, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

He’s so good, He goes beyond our understanding and continues to fill us. Too much time in His absence, and watch your patience grow thin. Watch your attitude sour. Watch depression creep in. You need Him!

Sure, there are tangible time limits in our finite world. All the more reason to take advantage of the time you have. The more you return to Him, the more He is conditioning you to think like Him, to act like Him, and to be like Him!

What could be more important?
