Mom’s hands are full. She’s speed-walking to her airport gate with a ten-year-old, a two-year-old, a stroller, and a backpack. Big girl jumps on the moving sidewalk as the toddler squeals “Me too!” Now big sis is several yards ahead as Mom picks up the baby, and gently places her on the thrill ride.
Sister one is well on her way as Sister Act 2 gives chase. Mom, on solid ground, sees the potential disaster ahead as the end of the ride looms. The toddler will surely face-plant! So Mom is off to the races to beat her to the end of the line and avoid a bumped lip.
Speedy mama arrives first! While big sister lands safely, baby girl sees her fun is almost over and does a quick about-face. Now she’s running as fast as she can against the moving sidewalk, getting nowhere. But big people are approaching fast!!
Super-Mom leaps onto the ride, and in one effortless motion swoops up her baby, and safely plants her back into the stroller, to the applause of several on-lookers. It was a thing of beauty.
I wonder what other tricks this young Mom has performed today?
