The President

America’s history is rich. I’m no expert, but a big fan. I love looking at the presidents, when they served, etc. Our latest is one of the few to lose re-election. But he was still president.

Every president had successes, failures, supporters and detractors, even to the point of war. But perhaps no president has had such staunch friends and foes as #45. Today even the word “president” evokes strong emotion and controversy.

I didn’t like his profanity, name calling, and stirring things up.

But I loved his uniqueness. He wasn’t like EVERY. OTHER. POLITICIAN. EVER. All so predictable, stiff, and “teleprompted”.

I loved his results. Unemployment and world-wide terrorism plummeted. He sided with traditional, Christian values, especially pro-life.

But he’s consistently hated by the loudest people. I thought if the economy surged it’d help, but no. Scorning and mocking him was always trendy.

Then January 6th happened. His rally got ugly, much like his opposition’s often did. Now, everybody had their day. “Shameful!” “Outrageous!” “Disgusting!” Millions piled on.

How predictable.

Though a productive presidency by numbers alone, it’s over. The detractors rejoice. But please, let it go. Call it history. Move on.

He was our 45th president.
