Ever back your car into a pole and take out a tail light? Ever do it in your WIFE’S CAR? Follow it by “helping” out with breakfast and breaking the knob off the stove. Complete the trifecta by bumping a shelf and knocking off three century-old ornaments, shattering them on the floor.
Me neither. Until this weekend.
I’m on a roll. Not only have I broken cars, knobs, and ceramic angels. I’ve broken hearts, I’ve broken fasts, and I’ve broken wind at the most inopportune times.
It seems everything is breakable. I’ve broken phones, I’ve broken glass, I’ve suffered broken dreams.
I hate to sound like a broken record, but let me break the ice, and break the silence by breaking the news. You can break my spirit, break my will, and it seems I’ll break my neck to break the rules. (or at least bend them.)
But let me break it down for you, even if I speak in broken English. There is one thing that will never break. Jesus’ love. It’s unbreakable!
His body was broken on a tree for you and me so we’ll never have to be broken again!
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; (2 Cor 4:8,9)
