He reached Valedictorian level status in his field. He achieved international acclaim. As he neared the climax of his life and career, he was awarded a Nobel Peace prize for his humanitarian efforts.
He felt pretty good about himself.
The next day, his picture was in the paper. His wife called him over to show him. “Honey”, she lovingly beckoned. “Look closely.”
