You were not made to go it alone. You were built for relationship. Ultimately, we were all created by God for relationship with Him, and through Him, relationship with others.
But we were also born with a penchant for rebellion. We naturally try to fend for ourselves, and go our own way. This can take form in a number of ways, like anger, selfishness, lack of discipline, and many others.
God has given us eternal life, and His Holy Spirit here on earth in the meantime. His presence is constant, but it’s up to us to tap into it.
It takes a daily routine to stay connected and grow in Him. The more we do, the better we understand His ways, and His plan for us, and the more secure in Him we can feel.
Make prayer and Bible study a regular part of your schedule. The length of time isn’t as important as the consistency in which you meet with God.
Our human nature is to let up, and allow time to pass without exposure to His word and His spirit. This creates distance in our relationship with Him. Don’t let that be you!
What a joy to know He never leaves us, even when we, often subconsciously, separate ourselves from Him. His grace and mercy know no end!
Start now. Connect with Him every day, and experience more of His peace every day!
