All You Need is Cirque du Soleil Love

Imagine every song the Beatles ever recorded. Okay, not every song, but it feels like it. Then imagine they are all smoothly and beautifully woven together in a medley of inspiring artistry through lights, sound, dance, acrobatics and EXTRA special effects.

That’s the Beatles Love show from Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas. What a celebration of the best soundtrack ever known on a stage in the round, flanked by dozens of characters, young and old! (Mostly young!)

From a simply physical standpoint, these actors exhibited phenomenal skills. Acrobats on trapeze, skaters on the half-pipe, and stuntmen on trampoline. And the dancing! We actually saw “Lucy in the Sky”… with Diamonds!

From the technical side, music, sound, lights and props were never so perfectly woven together to create such an ecstatic assault on the senses. The timing required to physically present this creatively crafted soundtrack in exact synchronization is beyond imagination.

And as an artistic exhibition, this performance is second to nothing I’ve ever seen. From heart warming to hilarious, from bizarre to beautiful, the characters came to life in an often “Sgt. Peppery” fashion. It was a musical circus of brightly colored characters and props to the soundtrack of my childhood. It was awe and wonder on display.

Or it was perhaps best summed up in a word by our friend Paul Baloche.

“Magical”.

There’s so much more I could share about how we were taken through the coolness of the sixties in all its various stages and aspects, and how the Beatles music played a major role in the fabric of that era. But I’ll withhold further specifics so you can see for yourself.

So I encourage you. See it. It truly is “Magical”. It’s also a “Mystery”.

Roll up. Take the Tour.
