Super Bowl Postponed Due to Time Constraints

Atlanta, Georgia – The 53rd annual Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams has been postponed. The yearly spectacle will be rescheduled, according to officials in a press release Saturday.

The difficult decision was made after pressure mounted from advertisers and promoters, all vying for strategic time slots during the prime time telecast.

“We simply couldn’t give everyone the time they needed”, lamented NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “With advertisers putting down five and a quarter million for every 30 seconds, it would have been fiscally irresponsible to not take full advantage of that opportunity.”

“The Super Bowl is about so much more than the game. When you consider the two weeks of hoopla leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, the endless hours of pregame interviews, and all those wacky commercials, we can easily reschedule the anti-climactic contest for a non-prime-time slot. Perhaps Monday morning.”

When asked about the Super Bowl Half Time Show, Goodell assured the fate of the fan favorite feature was not in danger. “What are you, nuts?” He gushed, “Maroon 5 is the most!”
