You Are Flawed and Loved

We are loved, but we are flawed. We have the inevitable propensity to misspeak, to be misunderstood, or to misunderstand. If something can be over-thought or under-considered, we are liable to do so. On top of all that, we have the innate ability to staunchly defend whatever we say, do, or think, regardless of facts to the contrary.

I wish this wasn’t so, but there’s an up side! These imperfections provide great opportunities for us to show grace, just like God shows us!

We can all agree with this notion in theory. It’s much more difficult in practice. But if we make it a point daily to remember we’re all capable of falling short, we can more easily cut each other some slack.

Relationships take work. Lots of it. Let’s forgive as we’ve been forgiven.

Yes, even when we’re right.
