There are more reasons to laugh than there are to cry. Your world is filled with funny. Sure, there are hardships. But count your blessings! And while you’re at it, count your comedies. This world is a veritable Disneyland, and you’re in the parking lot. Go on in!
Have you ever seen a guy who clearly never goes grocery store shopping actually at a grocery store shopping? He’s clueless! He’s aimlessly wandering the aisles. He’s taking pictures of food. He’s calling his wife. It takes him an hour and a half to make a $15 dollar purchase. It’s better than dinner and a show!
Take a look at a teen girls out with friends. They’re trying their absolute best to look identical to each other. Their main goal? To make every effort possible to never, ever look away from their phones. And best yet, they all talk at once. What are they saying? I have absolutely no idea. This hours of family fun!
Watch sports. Talk shows argue over which team has more “integrity” and “deserves” to win, while assessing winners as the those who “wanted it more”. Fans show up at games in sub zero weather shirtless and painted up like crazed magpies. Many think if they scream at the TV, the players can actually hear them. The hard-cores brag if their team wins, as if they actually had something to do with it.
They’re not born this way. They slowly morph into psychos. It’s a slippery slope.
And talk about a circus. How about politicians? They’re human science experiments. You know exactly what they’re going to say. The opposition is always “playing politics”, while their position is always for “the American people”. And every last one of them is going to “reach across the aisle”. No exceptions. These people are hilarious!
You may genuinely be up against seemingly insurmountable odds. Health issues. Financial strain. Relationship crises. All very real. There may be no apparent hope in sight. But remember, God’s bigger than any problem, and he can work out any situation, often in ways we least expect. Trust Him!
And in the meantime, He made some pretty hilarious people.
