This marvelous little wrist band keeps track of my steps, my miles, my calories, and any number of statistics I program into it.
I wonder if it can read my mind?
I discovered I can simply move my hand up and down, it thinks I’m walking, and it registers my steps. I could literally sit on the couch all day and simply move my hand to accomplish my fitness goals. And it has to be true. My Fit Bit says so.
Admittedly, this is tempting. But who’s fooling who? My device will go off in a vibrating celebration as my phone dings and I get an email of congratulations for “reaching my goal!” But I’ll know better.
How about you? Are you making an honest effort in your goals? To love others? To do the right thing when nobody’s watching? To make your family a priority? Or is it just about appearances, “making your hand go up and down?”
“Whatever you do, do it as unto God.”
