The Tuxedo Cats

The Tuxedo Cats – Just Another Rock and Roll Band? Or Just. What. This. Country. Needs?

The Tuxedo Cats have been very busy. Playing classic rock and country every weekend, each with personal lives jam packed with everything from families, day jobs, church ministry, and hey, SOMEBODY’S got to let the dog out. But who’s got the time?

Tbe Tuxedo Cats are :

Todd Rinlee – Face-Melting Guitar, Vocals, and President/CEO (he’s also a client)

Scotty G – Astonishing Keys, Vocals, and Drone Operator

Steeeeeve Graham – Bass Boss, Vocals, and Rock Historian

Tim Letsch – Death Defying Drums, Vocals, and Team Chaplain

Mike Harper – Drum Deputy, Vocals, Crazy Uncle

When these boys (average age is 52) started out, they were just looking for somebody who still enjoyed the music of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. As it turns out, the demand was high!

While out front on stage, Todd Rinlee is definitely the “Man-Behind-The-Band”. His vision and daily workman-like dedication has kept the group working steadily since 2009. In addition to his leadership as a musician, he’s the manager, booking agent, and sound man for one of the most popular bands in East Texas. During the week, when he’s not booking a gig, promoting on Facebook, or rehearsing, Todd teaches guitar at Mundt music.

Todd and Mike met in a Tyler band called Upscale in 2006, playing mostly jazz standards and dinner music ballads. While a great band and an enjoyable experience, it was soon clear the rock kept trying to find it’s way into the set.

Todd formed the Tuxedo Cats as a three-piece rock band incorporating classic rock, country and rockabilly.

Mike soon joined, followed by Steve, and then Scotty. Tim worked as the fill in drummer until 2017, when Mike moved to Forney, Texas to be closer to his grand kids. He then stepped into the part time role, and Tim filled the spot remarkably, making the transition smooth as a grand baby’s butt!

One of the benefits The Tuxedo Cats offer is a variety of styles and line ups, depending on your musical preference or the size and type of venue. While the primary format is classic rock and country, each member has played since childhood and can play multiple instruments. So anything from old to new, rock to country, jazz to ballads are in play. You’ll enjoy the standard four piece band, or any number of variations and combinations, such as the three piece, two piece, or even solo performances.

You can count on a fun and dynamic live musical performance, professionalism on and off the stage, and a family friendly show. You’ll want to dance like nobody’s watching, and sing along at the top of your lungs! And, as an added bonus, our Gold Member Fans can even qualify for college credit! #NotTrue
