I Want to Be Smarter Than I Think
After recently being treated for a neck, back, and head injury, I learned about a new treatment that can change brain health as we know it. It will shoot mild electrical charges into your brain. This new method will help everyone from PTSD patients, to alzheimers victims, to anybody just experiencing short term memory loss and brain fog.
It basically takes your brain cells that have settled into certain patterns over the years, or have been jumbled around via injury and wakes them up! It only takes a few volts to “reboot” them back into place, and give you a clean slate!
It’s based on the premise that it wakes up those sleeping cells and sharpens your memory, and makes you more alert, kind of like a cup of coffee without the bitter aftertaste!
My doctor asked if I was interested in being a candidate. Really? An opportunity to remember more clearly? To love more dearly? To follow directions more nearly? Day by Day? WHERE DO I SIGN?
Can you imagine someone actually saying, “A treatment that will make me smarter? Nah, I’m good.”
Of course, there will be some who will be hesitant to try something new due to unknown risks. But this treatment already has a good track record for success, and I know and trust my doctor to take good care of me.
I want to ask him how high we can crank it up? Is there a maximum level of wit I can attain? What’s the ceiling on this thing? Can we put it on eleven? I just want to be smarter than My Lovely Wife and Life Partner Lois. Is that doable?
Whatever the outcome, I’m thankful for modern health procedures designed to help, and good Christian physicians committed seeing people healed. God is doing amazing things, and one day I hope to be able to remember them!
