What’s Your Top 10?
What are you passionate about? What gives you a buzz?
When I was a kid, it was toys. It was outside. It was baseball. It was Beatles. It was drums. It was radio. It was TV.
Half a century later, I realize that hasn’t changed!
Over the years, I’ve added a couple of items.
Add Family. Family has taken on a bigger priority. Lois, our kids, our grand kids, my sibs, nieces, nephews, and cousins. This is my legacy. These are my people.
Add God. The realization that I am completely reliant upon God for sustenance, growth, and mercy occurs to me now more than ever. I am absolutely nothing in and of myself. Anything I can do or be is only because of my creator.
These are things I can get charged up about.
Maybe it’s a good idea for us all to do an end-of-year inventory. What’s in your top 10? What are the things and who are the people that mean the most to you?
If you find much of your time, energy, and resources are going elsewhere, perhaps it’s time to re-evaluate.
We’re only given a finite amount of time on earth. To waste it or spend it passively is such a shame.
I encourage you to take stock in what you love, and where you invest your energies. Then make a pro-active decision this year to put what’s on the top of your list, on the top of your list!
By the way, if you happened to count my Top 10 items, you may have noticed I only listed nine priorities.
That’s because rounding out my Top 10… is you.
